§ 04 About

Named for a shadow that does the work while you sleep.

§ 04.1 / Origin

Why the name. Why this business. Why Austin.

Igris is the name of a loyal shadow in a story about a man who can summon helpers. He doesn't shout, doesn't ask for credit. He just shows up, does the work, and disappears before anyone notices.

That's the shape of what we build. The best automation isn't a dashboard your team has to log into — it's a system nobody talks about because it's just running. Invoices going out on time. Payroll prepared by Sunday at 7pm. Contracts drafted while you're driving to a jobsite.

I grew up watching small construction companies in the Austin area get crushed by the back office. The work — pouring concrete, framing houses, swinging hammers — is the part owners love. The follow-up emails, the late checks, the spreadsheets that never tie out, the Sundays at the kitchen table with a laptop — that's the part that quietly kills the business. Or kills the owner.

Claude changed what's possible in 2024 and 2025. I spent eighteen months figuring out how to wire it into the unglamorous, specific workflows that small GCs actually live in. Igris Automations is the result. No platform. No subscription. We deploy, we walk away, and we keep it sharp on a flat monthly fee.

We are deliberately a two-person shop. We will deliberately stay small. We're set up to take on roughly ten clients a year and to say no to most of the inbound. If you make it past the discovery call, you have our phone numbers — not a ticket queue.

§ 04.2 / What we hold to

Four habits we don't break.

V · 01

Loyal.

One client. One owner's name in the system. We don't subcontract your work to a third party, ever.

V · 02

Quiet.

Good automation is invisible. If you're still talking about it three months in, we didn't build it right.

V · 03

Honest.

We tell you on day one if something shouldn't be automated. You'll often hear a 'no' before you hear a price.

V · 04

Local.

Austin, Round Rock, and the hill country. If we can drive to your office in under an hour, you're our kind of client.
